Melissa Knapp—Clinical Coordinator,

Certified Dental Assistant

Melissa has been working for Dr. Armstrong since 1996, immediately after graduating from Coastal Carolina Community College. As our most senior team member, Melissa is able to contribute to all areas of the office, including OSHA standards, supply ordering, repairs and reception desk.

Jane Collins—Administrative Director

Originally from Massachusetts, Jane has been working with us since April of 2001. She has completed testing as a Certified Independent Trainer for Dentrix Dental Systems and enjoys traveling to dental offices throughout Eastern Carolina to educate dental teams in all areas of dental practice management

Michelle Lehman—Certified Dental Assistant

Chelle started in December 2006. She attended Coastal Carolina Community College and comes to our office with three years of general practice experience. Recently, she has enrolled in continuing education towards the goal of becoming a dental hygienist.

Lynn Young - Registered Dental Hygienist

Lynn graduated in 1979 from Coastal Carolina with a degree in Dental Hygiene. After 30 years in practice she still enjoys what she does and the people she meets every day. Her knowledge gives both adults and children the confidence and trust needed to achieve extraordinary care.

Donna Valentine - Certified Dental Assistant

While Donna may be the newest member to our team, she brings with her a vast background of experience and education. Relying on nearly 25 years of experience, Donna is confident in assisting in a wide array of dental procedures and is excited to be using her skills and abilities at such a dynamic and professional dental practice.  Donna recently obtained an Associate in Arts Degree from Carteret Community College.

Lindsey Jervis - Registered Dental Hygienist

Lindsey was born and raised in Lincolnton, North Carolina. She attended Catawba Valley Community College where she graduated in May of 2006 with honors, earning her degree in dental hygiene. As of September 2009, she has brought to our team her four years of experience in different areas of dentistry. She is excited to be a part of a wonderful team who's growth will help her continue to promote quality oral healthcare for her patients.

Candy Thompson—Treatment Coordinator, Certified Dental Assistant

Candy is originally from NC, graduating from Coastal Carolina Community College in 1991 with a Dental Assisting Degree. She has been working for Dr. Armstrong since 1998 and in 2002 advanced to the position of Treatment Coordinator to manage the scheduling of patients and treatment.

Betsy Gollick—Registered Dental Hygienist

Betsy graduated from Coastal Carolina Community College in 2000. Starting with us in March of 2004, she comes from a family of dental practitioners. As our lead hygienist, Betsy has been vital in the transition of our hygiene team.

Joy Jones—Registered Dental Hygienist

Joy is a native of Onslow County and graduated from CCCC in 1995. To fulfill a desire to spend more time with her children, Joy recently decided to begin working part time. She is ecstatic to be part of an office where providing complete optimal care is paramount and looks forward to many years of continued growth.

Melinda Butler—Certified Dental Assistant

Melinda grew up in Jacksonville, NC graduating from Southwest High School. She then attended Coastal Carolina Community College, receiving her Dental Assisting Certification in August 2007. During her summer rotation in the DA program, Melinda worked with our office and was hired right after she graduated.

Stephanie Schreiner -  Treatment Coordinator

Stephanie is originally from the Midwest, but has traveled extensively, attending Tulane University, living in Hawaii where she met her husband, and now, in North Carolina as an Active Duty Marine Corps family.

Miriam Jason - Patient Care Coordinator

Miriam is originally from Atlanta, GA. She and her husband, along with their newborn son, are stationed at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina as an Active Duty Marine Corps family.
