Melissa Knapp—

Certified Dental Assistant

Melissa has been working for Dr. Armstrong since 1996, immediately after graduating from Coastal Carolina Community College. As our most senior team member, Melissa is able to contribute to all areas of the office, including OSHA standards, supply ordering, repairs and reception desk.

Jane Collins—Administrative Director

Originally from Massachusetts, Jane has been working with us since April of 2001. With over 12 years of experience in dental practice management, she enjoys coaching other dental offices in our area. As a member of the American Association of Dental Office Managers (AADOM) she is currently pursuing fellowship designation in her field.

Michelle Lehman—Certified Dental Assistant

Chelle started in December 2006. She attended Coastal Carolina Community College and comes to our office with three years of general practice experience. Recently, she has enrolled in continuing education towards the goal of becoming a dental instructor.

Lynn Young - Registered Dental Hygienist

Lynn graduated in 1979 from Coastal Carolina with a degree in Dental Hygiene. After 30 years in practice she still enjoys what she does and the people she meets every day. Her knowledge gives both adults and children the confidence and trust needed to achieve extraordinary care.

Lindsey Jervis - Registered Dental Hygienist

Lindsey was born and raised in Lincolnton, North Carolina. She attended Catawba Valley Community College where she graduated in May of 2006 with honors, earning her degree in dental hygiene. She is excited to be a part of a wonderful team who's growth will help her continue to promote quality oral healthcare for her patients.

Cara Rodriguez - Hygiene Coordinator

Cara is originally from New Jersey, where she worked as a Treatment Coordinator in a Dental Practice. She brings her excitement and experience to our office while stationed in North Carolina as an Active Duty Marine Corps family.

Brittany Rudder - Dental Assistant

Brittany began her journey in Dental Assisting by participating in the Red Cross program offered on Camp Lejeune. After many hours of volunteer training and clinical rotations, she is eager to learn Dental Assisting in private practice.  She looks forward to achieving the requirements necessary to apply for Dental Assisting Certification.

Candy Thompson—Treatment Coordinator, Certified Dental Assistant

Candy is originally from NC, graduating from Coastal Carolina Community College in 1991 with a Dental Assisting Degree. She has been working for Dr. Armstrong since 1998 and in 2002 advanced to the position of Treatment Coordinator to manage the scheduling of patients and treatment.

Betsy Gollick—Registered Dental Hygienist

Betsy graduated from Coastal Carolina Community College in 2000. Starting with us in March of 2004, she comes from a family of dental practitioners. As our lead hygienist, Betsy has been vital in the transition of our hygiene team.

Melinda Butler—Certified Dental Assistant

Melinda grew up in Jacksonville, NC graduating from Southwest High School. She then attended Coastal Carolina Community College, receiving her Dental Assisting Certification in August 2007. During her summer rotation in the DA program, Melinda worked with our office and was hired right after she graduated.

Stephanie Schreiner -  Patient Care Coordinator

Stephanie is originally from the Midwest, but has traveled extensively as an Active Duty Marine Corps family. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.

Kaitlin Maready - Sterilization Technician

Kaitlin joined our Dental Team in June 2010. As a full-time college student, she works part time in all areas of our office - answering the phone, assisting with charting or maintaining our dental sterilization area.

Melissa Combs - Registered Dental Hygienist

Melissa started full-time in our office in February 2011 after providing coverage for a maternity leave the previous Fall. With more than 5 years of experience in Dental Hygiene, Melissa enjoys her profession and looks forward to meeting each patient she is scheduled with.
